Cookies and IP Addresses When Visiting the Website
We may collect information about visitors to our website by using “cookies.” A cookie is a small text file that is created when someone uses a browser to visit a website. Cookies are stored in your computer’s browser cache or program data subfolder. Most major websites, including this one, use cookies to help visitors navigate the website more successfully and to provide information about visitors’ behavior that help us improve the website. We may also use this information to tailor advertisements and offers to you, both on our websites and on other websites. A cookie may identify the computer that is being used to visit the website, but not who the visitor is.
If you do not want to have cookies placed on your computer, you can set your web browser to not accept them, or you can delete them manually.
Our web servers also automatically collect the IP (for “Internet Protocol”) address of each device used to access our website. An IP address is a unique numerical label assigned to each internet-connected device. An IP address is not personal information because it identifies only the device, not the person who is using it. We use IP addresses in aggregate to help us understand how our website is being used and how we can better serve visitors.
Website Analytics
When you browse through any website, certain information about your visit may be collected. UCare uses a web analytics program to collect information automatically and continuously. We use this information to measure the number of visitors to our sites and to distinguish between new and returning visitors to help make the site more useful. No Personally Identifiable Information(PII) is collected through UCare’s analytics program.
UCare performs analyses of user behavior in order to measure customer interest in the various areas of our site.
We may also use online surveys to collect opinions and feedback from a random sample of visitors. This survey does not collect PII. Participation in the survey is voluntary. If you decline to participate, you will still have access to the same information and resources on UCare’s website as those who do decide to take the survey. Answers to the survey help us to improve our website to make it easier for you to use. UCare may utilize third-party vendors, to perform our web measurements and customization.
